What Cultural Diversity Means To You

Cultural Diversity

People around the world have different cultural affiliations, they have lived in different places and learned from different people with different backgrounds and different religions. This creates a very sophisticated and interesting world!

Countries that consists of different cultures has proved to perform better than those closed ones. Let’s take some examples. Try to compare between two countries where cultural mixture is there or obsolete. What makes Germany better than what it was before war? What about the United States? Why North Korea is not a nice place to live? Do people like to travel to open countries for tourism purposes? Or do they prefer going to “guest-unwelcoming” countries?

Trading information and ideas is as important as economical trading. When a project manager wants to produce creative ideas, he would ask  people to participate in brain storming which is a very good technique to produce as many ideas as possible to solve a specific problem. The greater the number of participants is, the more ideas are produced. This means more ideas to solve a particular problem. The country then is converted to a creative country where ideas are transformed into projects and business opportunities which will make the country perform better than other competitors.

That’s why most of the successful governments in the world like to welcome qualified immigrants. Because they see them as information treasure and that give a leap refreshness to their current culture.
In the middle ages, Islamic empire had succeeded in building a special culture.  According to Muslims, it was because following the Islamic Laws. But, what they didn’t know, some of their laws were the real reason for the enlightenment they created in the history.

Giving the people the right to think and promote their ideas, giving them the right to believe in whichever religion they want, freeing the mind is the key to successful country. A free country will attract people from all over the world to immigrate to it, and they will find it a real opportunity for them to promote their ideas and therefore, this will for sure have a positive impact on national development.

Even if those ideas remained in the papers and haven’t been applied in real life, imagine how many books will be written and sold for those ideas. This is a real treasure.
